SUMMARY Responsible for the overall management of the community.
In conjunction with the Executive Director, the Assistant Executive Director oversees the day to day business operations within the community to ensure exceptional quality and service, sustain resident satisfaction and staff engagement, operational efficiency and strong financial results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Ensures the quality and appropriateness of resident care that meets or exceeds the company and regulatory standards, maintaining resident, family and staff satisfaction.
Ensures compliance with applicable legal and regulatory guidelines and standards.
Monitors monthly performance of the community in relation to budget and intervenes as needed.
Assists in financial oversight and census development.
Recruits, hires, provides orientation/training, and ensures staff satisfaction and retention.
Ensures employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and periodic performance appraisals are conducted on a timely basis.
Ensures the community is a safe, clean, comfortable, and appealing environment for residents, visitors and staff in accordance with company guidelines.
Assists in human resource and business office duties.
Assists Executive Director with supervision of department heads and other staff members.
Ensures all departmental policies and procedures are updated, followed and audited regularly.
Ensures all required records are maintained and submitted, as appropriate, in an accurate and timely manner.
Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
Responsible for grievance process from residents, employees, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS Prefer one to three (1-3) years experience as a healthcare or Independent Living facility administrator.
Excellent communicator and customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
Passion to meet and exceed the expectations of residents, families, and staff.
Proven ability to work well under pressure and navigate multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines and commitments.
Ability to think critically, analyze data and determine root causes of issues.
Innate ability to resolve problems in creative and proactive ways.
Proficient in the use of personal computer.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Direct reports to this position typically include all other community personnel under the Executive Director.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT May be required to respond to critical issues on a 24/7 basis.
Working in normal office environment, employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, see, talk and hear.
May occasionally lift objects weighing 10 to 25 lbs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
