Polyzen is a leading developer and manufacturer of customized polymer-based materials, films, components, and assemblies for the medical device industry.
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) & Facilities Specialist to join our team at Polyzen! The HSE & Facilities Specialist will plan, coordinate, and implement safety policies and programs through training and improvement projects to uphold the safe and effective operation of the facility systems.
They will provide guidance and support throughout all areas of the facility, including safe work practices, risk control, and training.
This position ensures continuous operation and improvement by partnering with leadership to deliver onsite HSE objectives.
The HSE & Facilities Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with safety standards and fostering a culture of safety.
This on-site position supports a three-shift operation - primary work hours will be on day shift.
Essential Job Duties include:
Being an on-the-floor presence in clean room production areas to lead and facilitate employee engagement in safety Develops and implements training processes for occupational health & safety management system Develops, monitors, and reports key HSE metrics, updates documentation for the Safety Management System Leads the site safety committee and associated activities Drives, supports, and participates in incident investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities Develops and recommends an annual budget, reviews capital expenditure requests to ensure appropriate safety measures are considered Manages hazardous waste disposal, tracking and reporting, related documentation, and Safety Data Sheets Serves as the Company representative for federal, state, and local HSE agency inspections and ensures compliance to standards Maintains the First Responder Team in a state of readiness for first aid, small fires, and incidental spills Serves as the SME for safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, environment, and fire protection Partners with Human Resources for workers compensation case management, and return-to-work accommodations Serves as site project coordinator for facility improvement and maintenance projects Physical Demands Travel between company facilities, occasionally or as needed Requires good manual dexterity for a range of motions (standing, walking, bending, reaching) Lift, pull and push up to 50lbs Requires the ability to regularly perform repetitive motions Requires the ability to sit or stand through the duration of a shift May require on-call duties and adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to respond to emergencies Who you are:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical or other manufacturing environment highly desired.
Current safety certification, or actively working toward, a certification in the safety field (CSP, CIH, etc.
), is a plus 3-10 years of HSE experience preferred.
Experience with facilities, maintenance, engineering, or construction related activities is preferred.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
