Job Description
Plans and coordinates the procurement of products. Determines max min levels for each individual product, maintains and updates the K3S to maximize procurement efficiency. Works with Product Manager to insure that all goals are met in regards to program attainment, promotional plans, marketing initiatives, and adherence of vendors to agreed terms. Maintains pricing and discounts associated with each vendor. Updates and maintains are related AX files. Works closely with Sales and Sales management to Maintain a high degree of ethics and follow the standard of conduct set forth in the company policy.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.
Purchases goods for resale using inventory forecast system, managing inventory levels in a way that insures maximum turns while maintaining high customer fill rates.
Maintain a fill rate of 98.5% on "A" items and 98% on "B" items.
Reduces overrides to less than 20% in regards to purchasing software. (K3S)
Maintain and use computer software systems as designed.
Set up new items using the best descriptions possible to sell and assist in the selling of product. Maintains all the item files for accuracy and change as determined by Product Manager.
Maintain sub list with the best items at the most equal costs. Work with customer service to be sure we have equal subs and equal pricing.
Processes purchase orders through order entry on a daily basis checking for accurate price, quantity and delivery dates on confirmations. Work with Director of Purchasing on the variance report to maintain pricing accuracy.
Develop and maintain a supplier listing of Non Stocks, overstocks, and obsolete products for sale.
Reviews low stock and late truck reports on a daily basis to adjust or expedite orders to maximize customer fill rates.
Maintains item price, pack, and vendor changes in inventory system on a daily basis and communicates the changes accurately to sales and marketing in a timely manner.
Reviews vendor invoices with discrepancies for approval to pay.
Discusses unacceptable goods or services with supplier representatives to determine the source of trouble and takes corrective actions.
Uses excess stock reports and forecasting reports on a weekly basis to identify dead or slow moving items and develop marketing or vendor strategies to alleviate from inventory. Negotiate RGA on slow moving inventory.
Participates in staff meetings on a weekly basis with Director of Purchasing
Assist sales staff and customer service with request for vendor product specification, product availability, and POS materials.
Works with operations to get and maintain MSDS and safety information.
Maintain a high degree of integrity and ethics to follow the standards set by the company policy.
Maintain record retention as set forth in the company policy.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in related business field - Accounting, Marketing, Supply Chain Management. Four years of inventory replenishment desired. Strong computer skills.
Language Ability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, understand, and communicate in the English language.
Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, vendors, or members of the business community.
Ability to effectively present information to management and sales staff.
Math Ability:
Strong math and analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect
and interpret data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply good judgment and make sound decisions within the scope of the position.
Detail-oriented. Organization skills and the ability to multi-task. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common industry documents.
Deadline oriented. Ability to multi-task.

The noise level is normal to heavy due to the use of office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, calculator, and telephones.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
